Our Approach

ARCH was created to provide one-on-one, focused service for clients to improve their overall health. ARCH depicts the body’s natural design to support our system through curved, torqued, and rounded essence of our skeletal system creating a means for movement. We all have unique differences to our bones and joints, and ARCH will help you find the most optimal way to support your body and improve your sport, hobby, work, and overall you.

Angela Cohen, Physical Therapist, Certified Pilates Instructor, Founder of ARCH Physical Therapy and Pilates Center

The Therapist

Angela has diverse knowledge and skillset in physical therapy. For four years, Angela worked in the best outpatient clinics that uniquely combine Pilates based rehabilitation and Physical Therapy in Midtown Manhattan. She was Classically trained and certified in the Pilates method while in NYC. Also during this time, she expanded her knowledge learning ART (Active Release Technique), the Feldenkrais method, and casting for foot orthotics into her skillset. Angela stays true to the Pilates method and uses equipment brought from New York to challenge the body as originally intended. Angela is bringing this unique combination of Pilates based rehabilitation and Physical Therapy from Midtown Manhattan to Midtown Tulsa, additionally it will be in a one-on-one setting.

On a personal note, Angela was first exposed to Pilates as a means of core strengthening when she discovered she fractured her lumbar spine through sports. Having participated in dance since the age of three in many genres: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, and Ballroom, she has a keen eye for movement. She was chosen to continue Pilates Equipment training through the University of Oklahoma School of Dance. Angela went on to attain her Physical Therapy Degree from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2010. After graduation, she gained experience overseas as well. She worked side-by-side with a prominent physical therapist who owned many Pilates studios across the country. Angela is passionate in working with clients to avoid surgical intervention and help them recover to their best self if surgical intervention is unavoidable.
